My twenty-one year old self is pictured here. I lived in Austin, Texas. It was a golden year. It makes me miss Texas a little. Or maybe just my less adult self. Photographed by Candice Benge, one of my more like minded classmates at St. Edward’s University.
My favorite part about this photograph is the thumbprint that accidentally landed on the negative.

I love love, love Kodachrome. This is the PKR-64. Scanned on the Imacon X5.
It’s so special, because when you shoot it and first process the film it’s black and white. Later, the dyes are individually developed onto the negative until it’s full color slide.
It’s a perfect combination of richness and sharpness.
In the photo my mother is painting my sister’s fingernails.

an extra photo from the frank tell shoot. It had a good fine art feel, and I had to include it somehow.
